Handwoven tableware empowering female artisans in India.

Based in Chennai in southern India, ROPE is involved in empowering young women from rural families with employable artisan skills. While working with ROPE, these women are encouraged to take up suitable courses enabling them to master new crafts and production techniques, eventually becoming better professionals. By offering traditional artisans and hand loom weavers stable employment and much needed design support, ROPE enables them to develop products that are contemporary, modern and global, thus improving the standard of living for each artisan on the team.
