Here at Far + Wide Collective we have started a new design and development project to help artisans grow their businesses and scale production so that they can sell their products on the international markets. Our first stop was Kenya, where our colleague, Alexandra Baillie met with the Kasigau Weaving Cooperative to talk to the women about their bestselling African baskets and ways to further grow their enterprise. They discussed new design and product ideas using their techniques, raw material and colours. Here is how the process worked.
