Artisan: Javid Noori
Hand-crafted from 18-kt gold plated silver, this intricate pendant features a traditional calligraphy pattern. One side says: "Turquoise Mountain;" the other: "I am a bird of the spiritual garden. I don't belong to this earthly world." This is a line from the famous 13th-century Afghan poet Maulauna Jalaluddin Balkhi Rumi.
A collaboration between Afghan jewelry maker Javid Noori and Turquoise Mountain, this pendant is based on an old coin design.
