Beautiful handcrafted jewelry made in gold plated base metals, lapis and turquoise from the world’s oldest mines in Badakshan.

Backstory:

The Aayenda Jewelry brand is a collaboration between three international designers and 36 Afghan jewelry and gem-cutting artisans, trained by Future Brilliance in technical and business skills. Comprising over 130 pieces of gold- plated silver and metals, using Afghan gemstones, the collection is designed to build an international market for Afghan artisans for which they can design and manufacture for many years to come.

Inspiration:

The main goal of this ambitious training programme is for Afghanistan to capture higher value and refinement of its gemstone sector – by training artisans in gem-cutting, jewelry design and manufacturing, and equipping them with the skills to sustain their businesses and create a brilliant new jewelry line to showcase artisans’ talents and the beautiful and varied coloured gemstones of Afghanistan.
