This colourful queen-size quilt in shades of brown, rust and blue is handmade from hand-block printed cotton which has been organically dyed and embellished with artful stitching. It is a welcome addition to any environment.
This quilt is the result of an incredible process that starts with a complicated cloth preparation and dyeing process called “ajrak,” followed by a repeated block-printing process before it is carefully quilted by women in South Pakistan. Both traditional textile dyeing and block-printing are struggling arts in Pakistan.
