Artisan: Connecting Worlds
A brass choker with lapis stones wraps around the neck and is finished with a delicate chain to add sophistication. This one-of-a-kind necklace was designed by Garnish by Kara Hamilton in Toronto and handcrafted by graduate students of Turquoise Mountain in Kabul.
Kara Hamilton travelled to Kabul where she spent a week working directly with the artisans to finalize each piece in this collaboration. The artisans in turn were given a rare opportunity to work with an international designer and gain exposure to new designs, techniques and trends.
Dimensions: 61cm chain, 37cm long choker.
Please note that the base material is natural bronze and therefore subject to tarnish.
